Steeda Tri-Ax Mustang Short Throw Shifter for Tremec TR-3650 (2001-2004)
Like the rest of the Tri-Ax line the Steeda Tri-Ax for the TR 3650 shifter has been specifically engineered for the transmission, yet retains all the great features of the current line-up of Tri-Ax shifters.
The Tri-Ax starts with precision CNC machined billet aluminium body. The body's heavy-duty construction features no welds, stampings or castings for ultimate durability and precision engineering to fit right.
Inside, the pivot shaft has been specially designed to have the correct pivot ratio and short shift-throw for the TR-3650. The nickel-plated shaft won't rust or stain, and has been machined to exacting tolerances for smooth, precise operation. Offset pre-load springs make sure you find third gear every time and adjustable positive stops prevent damage to the transmission. Up top, the Tri-Ax features an exclusive boot guard to prevent damage to the factory inner boot, two-position adjustable handle height and a new forged Tri-Ax shift handle. The forged aluminium handle is strongest and lightest handle available on the market. Its unique three-axis bend places the shift knob closer to the driver for fast, precise and comfortable shifts.
If you're upgrading the shifter in your Fox Body,SN95, or New Edge Mustang's T5/T45, orT3650 transmission, We HIGHLY recommend adding our Shifter Base and Handle Gasket as it will make your life much easier. Using silicone can result in unwanted noise and vibration, especially if it's not evenly distributed to eliminate metal-on-metal contact. It can be tedious and time-consuming, but this shifter gasket is the solution.
This gasket, made from 1/16" high-temperature silicone rubber, makes it quick and easy to install or service your shifter. You won't have to worry about the shifter being hard to remove when servicing, and best of all, the gasket is reusable.
